Micro-Needling

Micro-needling is a therapy in which a device delivers tiny needle pricks to stimulate the skin’s natural healing processes—it can minimize wrinkles and improve the appearance of scars in all skin types and with minimal recovery. The technique works great for sunken areas on the skin caused by acne. It can also help smooth small thin wrinkles, such as those around the eyes, and on upper lip wrinkles.

Frequently asked questions

How does it feel?

The device delivers tiny needle pricks. As a result of this slight injury, the prick stimulates the growth of collagen (the scaffolding under the skin) smoothing the appearance of your skin. During the procedure, there may be light bleeding. After the therapy, a patient’s face will look pink and puffy.

What is the downtime?

Unlike other resurfacing treatments in which healing can take a week or more, micro-needling offers a fast recovery. If you have it done on Monday, you’ll be presentable with make-up by Wednesday!

How long before I see results?

You will notice and start getting comments in a matter of days.

Are there any side effects?

During the procedure you might experience light bleeding. We suggests patients ice for several hours after the therapy to help with the slight puffiness. Be sure to clear your schedule after treatment so you can go home and rest up where you can stay indoors and out of direct sunlight.

How long does it last?

It is recommended that you have at least 3 treatments about 6 weeks apart. After your series, we recommend maintaining your youthful look by one or two micro-needling sessions a year, depending on your lifestyle.
